Daniel Martin Performance

We are excited to welcome Daniel Martin to campus for a free Family Weekend performance! Known for his high-energy blend of incredible sleight of hand and playful mentalism, Daniel's shows have set attendance records worldwide. He has been recognized as "Best Variety Artist," "Best Male Performer," and has received the coveted "Entertainer of the Year" award. His award-winning magic has been featured on Netflix, Disney+, NBC, and Discovery. 

This event is not ticketed, and seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration on 'Cats on Campus only indicates interest; there is no guarantee for seats based on registration status.

Wirtz General Auditions

Peace and Justice Coffee Talks

looking at Economics and Justice: A Conversation with Catholic Kellogg professor David Besanko and NU economics major Erin Boler. Attendance at all events is not required. Come for what you are able!

Among the Trees: A Sit Spot Group

Looking for a way to cultivate your relationship with the natural world and build connections with those who are seeking to do the same? focused on sit spots, a practice of committing to sitting in a specific outdoor location over the course of the upcoming year in order to build a meaningful relationship with nature and with ourselves. All are welcome to a kickoff event where we’ll reflect on our experiences with nature as a spiritual path, share resources to support our sit spot journeys, and develop ways to hold each other accountable to the practice.

Kairos Retreat

October 24, La Salle Manor Retreat Center, Plano, IL (transportation provided)

Undergraduate students are invited to step away from campus and leave their obligations and deadlines behind to tend to the movements of God in their lives. Kairos is an opportunity to rediscover who you are and who God is in your life. No matter where you are on the spiritual journey, all are welcome! The is student-led and a great opportunity to meet new friends, to spend time in conversation and prayer, and to give yourself the space to breathe and refresh the heart and mind at the beautiful La Salle Manor in Plano, IL. mindfulNU Fall Cohort '25

mindfulNU is a six-week program created by ÎÞÓÇ´«Ã½ students, for ÎÞÓÇ´«Ã½ students, to help you build a mindfulness practice in a supportive cohort. Each week you’ll experience stillness and movement-based meditations, mindful writing, and group reflection, with space to connect and grow alongside your peers. Big questions like who are you, what do you value, where are you headed? Spiritual Direction gives you space to slow down, reflect, and process with someone who’s got your back. One-on-one, confidential, zero judgment whether you’re religious, spiritual, or just curious. Students say it’s one of the best ways to stay grounded during the chaos of college. Learn more here!

Find a Spiritual Direction at ÎÞÓÇ´«Ã½

Spiritual Direction is a one-on-one space to explore life’s big questions of meaning, purpose, identity, or whatever’s on your mind. It’s open to all backgrounds whether you are religious or not. Sessions last about 45 minutes, once a month, and may include conversation, silence, and reflection. It offers you the chance to pause, pay attention to your inner world, and stay grounded during the rush of college life. Learn more and schedule a preliminary session.


Wellness Coaching

Do you want to improve your overall health and well-being, but just don't know where to start? Wellness Coaching can help!

Wellness Coaching is a collaborative, non-judgmental process that can help you identify and achieve your health and wellness goals, balance dimensions of health and wellness, and learn practical skills to improve overall well-being. Coaches work with you to build on your strengths and support you in creating sustainable plans to achieve your wellness goals. 


 

AMPED Volunteers: Create music, make a difference

October 19, 6:00-7:30 PM, Annenberg G08

AMPED (Arts and Music Programs for Education in Detention Centers) connects ÎÞÓÇ´«Ã½ students with youth at the Cook County Juvenile Detention Center through a shared love of hip-hop and an interest in music production. Volunteers are trained to lead music discussions, build one-on-one connections, and support residents in creating original beats. Ready to get involved? Request a NU Bystander Training!

NUBI (ÎÞÓÇ´«Ã½ Bystander Intervention) is an initiative that aims to create a safer, more caring, and supportive community by engaging all students, faculty and staff and asking them to play a role in shifting our campus culture.

Bystander intervention is a 90-minute training that was developed to help people identify and interrupt moments of harm or potential harm. The training is intended to help empower people observing a situation to know how they can take an active role in intervening to stop immediate harm, and ideally future harm, from happening.

Red Watch Band Alcohol Bystander Intervention Trainings

Have you ever had to help a drunk friend but weren’t sure exactly what you were doing? This training will provide you with the knowledge and skills needed to identify, prevent and intervene effectively in an alcohol-related medical emergency. You’ll also learn about how alcohol affects our physiology and behavior, signs and symptoms of alcohol poisoning and the truth behind common alcohol-related myths.

CSAW's Opioid Overdose Prevention and Naloxone Training

This one-hour training is for students who are interested in being trained to administer Narcan (naloxone). Attendees will learn how to recognize signs of an opioid overdose, identify when it is appropriate to use Narcan, learn how to administer Narcan to an individual they believe is experiencing an overdose, and identify additional emergency steps to take. All attendees will receive a two-pack of Narcan upon completion of the training.

Trainings will be offered at least two times a quarter. More trainings may be scheduled if there is increased demand. !

Come see the ASLA Peer Tutors for help with variety of courses! You can find them Sunday through Thursday. Locations include Schapiro Hall, Shepard Hall, Elder Lounge, Tech, GSRC, SES, the Black House, and the Multicultural Center. Subjects Covered: Biology, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Economics, Engineering Analysis, Math, Physics, Statistics

NCA: December 2025 Investment Banking Career Trek to NYC

Applications due October 26 midnight (Sunday)

ÎÞÓÇ´«Ã½ Career Advancement is hosting an to New York City on Monday, December 15, Tuesday, December 16th, and Wednesday, December 17th. This Trek is for students who identify as sophomores planning to actively apply to investment banking internships for their summer 2027 experience as early as winter break 2025/winter quarter 2026.

NCA wants to ensure that cost is never prohibitive to a student’s career planning. Students with demonstrated financial need may be offered support for travel and lodging. More details will be provided to those students who qualify (see application). Applications should be submitted no later than October 26th midnight (Sunday).


McCormick Engineering MS Program Fair
